In the afternoon, His Royal Highness Prince Doctor Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office as Pro-Chancellor of UBD conferred the Masters and Bachelor's degrees as well as diplomas to 563 graduates. The ceremony was held at the Chancellor Hall, UBD.
The ceremony began with the reading of Surah Al-Fatihah led by Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Paduka Seri Utama Dato Paduka Seri Setia Haji Awang Salim bin Haji Besar.
His Royal Highness' arrival was welcomed by Yang Berhormat Datin Seri Setia Doctor Dayang Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Mohd. Salleh, Minister of Education, and Doctor Hazri bin Haji Kifle, Vice Chancellor of UBD.
His Royal Highness then conferred the degrees and diplomas to the graduates.
263 graduates completed their Masters in various fields including the Master of Defence and Security Studies, a joint venture between the Defence Academy Royal Brunei Armed Forces and UBD.
264 graduates received the Bachelors of Health Science, Business and Science. 36 others received the Post Graduate Diploma.
Doa Selamat was read by Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Paduka Seri Utama Dato Paduka Seri Setia Haji Awang Salim bin Haji Besar.
